Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Marshall of Cambridge is producing three types of bus using the new Volvo B6 chassis and Cromweld stainless steel bodies; lengths of 8.5, 9.0 and 10.0m allow for passenger capacities from 20 to 43 seats.

It has received its first order for the new design from CHL Group company Viscount Bus, which is taking a fleet of 8.5m 30-seaters, Marshall says the Volvo B6 chassis provides a "low cost, highly manoeuvrable, singledeck unit for urban and interurban use", enabling it to manufacture a "highly competitive" rnidibus with air suspension.

Marshall says it has made significant changes to the original Duple designs manufactured by Carlyle, which it acquired earlier this year. The midibus range is also available with a Dennis Dart chassis.

Marshall recently re-entered the PCV market after a gap of nearly 10 years (CM 23-29 April). Its first sales were to People's Provincial of Fareham, Hants, which ordered seven

Marshall-bodied Iveco Ford 49.10s. The designs were based on those bought from Carlyle. However, they used a Cromweld 3CR12 stainless-steel structure on all chassis members.

Marshall beat FSV Dormobile to win the Carlyle designs.
