WWITH the increased popularity, of vehicles incorporating selfloading and unloading equipment for the disposal of waste and other materials, Telehoist Ltd. is to introduce in August this year the American Load Lugger system. This will be built in the UK by Telehoist. the system being that designed by the Heil Co.

As the picture shows, the Load Lugger design is similar in operation to other skip-loading systems, with specially adapted chassis carrying hydraulically operated loading booms and handling skips which can be open or closed. Six basic designs of skip with capacities from 1.5 to 16 cu.-yd. will be available.

It is claimed that the Load Lugger system is of simple design and that it will be sold at a relatively economical price. The equipment is suitable for chassis designed for up to 22 tons gross and consists of a flat platform with loading booms pivoted at the rear end. Jack-leg stabilizers provide support during operation and it is said that the cost to equip a vehicle of 12-5 tons gross, capable of handling 6 to 8 cu. yd. skips. will he about £1,650. Skips for this application will cost about E150.
