Mr. Roche. who has been executive vicepresident and a director of Generol Motors' since September. 1962, was designated chairman of the executive crimmitte and was also elected a member of the finance committee. Mr. Gordon will continue as a member of the board of directors and of the finance committee. Mr. Norman M. Hill, production manager of Dennis Bros. Ltd. for the past 10 months,' has been appointed manager of the Willesden factory of ENV Engineering Co. Ltd. He was witteLeyland for many years.

Mr. K. W. Lye has been appointed service manager of Shaw and Kilburn at Western Avenue. Londoh, W.3.

Mr. Denis Ayres has joined Ash and Tracy Ltd., aluminium stockholders. Smethwick, as a technical representative. Mr. Ayres has had considerable experience in vehicle building and spent 19 years with Duramin Engineering Co. Ltd.

Mr. B. Biddle, who has been a member of Yokes' sales staff for seven years. has been appointed group publicity manager.

Obituary

WIE regret to record the death this week YV of Mr. Frank Robert Harris, founder and managing director of Harris Haulage (Grays) Ltd. and Frank Harris (Coaches) Ltd,, of Grays, Essex. He was 64. Mr. Harris was very well known in both goods and passenger industries, having bought his first lorry in 1919 and his first coach four rears later. Each company now runs 30 vehicles.
