REAR engines are employed in 100 new double-deck buses which have been introduced in New York by the Fifth Avenue Coach Co., New York. Increased seating capacity, vastly greater riding comfort, improved headroom and elimination of fumes, etc., are among the outstanding benefits claimed for the rear-engine design.
Other new features include what is described as the " Mono-drive " automatic' change-speed gear.
