Euro-5 trucks, all of which should be delivered by the end of the year or early 2014. "That should see us through for another four years," said MD Matthew Ashworth.
He added that the additional cost of Euro-6 trucks had been the reason he'd avoided them.
Mark Hunt, UK transport manager at Manchester-based Kerry Logistics, said: "Our current leasing deal doesn't run out until mid-2015 but if we were to increase the fleet within the next four months, we'll be doing it prior to Euro-6."
Knowles (Transport) MD Anthony Knowles has ordered 45 Euro-5 Volvo FH trucks. "I don't like to be a guinea pig for new technology," he said.
