• Applied Distribution has extended its UK network of frozen warehousing and distribution sites following an £800,000 acquisition of Glasgow-based Scotfrost.

All 59 staff, including Scotfrost's 18 drivers, began work last week for their new owners after Applied Distribution bought the company from receivers Grant Thornton. Scotfrost's parent company, the Scottish frozen-food retailer Capital Foods, went into receivership in May.
