Nice to report a success story in these gloomy days for industry. Pengco managing director David Allen is the happy man who can cheerfully report that his demountable business is running at peak production. The plant at Peterborough is positively bursting with chassis for fitting with demount systems ordered by customers.
Theres been a marked change in specification emphasis since the beginning of the year, he reports. Where formerly some companies were looking at just the ability to demount body units, the majority are now really 'studying design, construction, equipment life, and not 'least, after-sales facilities.
