• The Northern Area Traffic Commissioners refused an application by E. Stephenson (Teesside) Ltd., at Middlesbrough on Friday, to operate a new service from Middlesbrough to Teesside Airport because no one appeared to represent the applicant.
Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon. chairman of the Commissioners, said it was unfortunate that costs could not be awarded to the objectors who had attended.
A spokesman for the firm said afterwards: "I had no idea that the Traffic Commissioners were sitting today."
