• Coast Lines have agreed to sell their 50 per cent shareholding in David MacBrayne Ltd. to the Scottish Transport Group—a decision reached in the realization that the development envisaged in the 1968 Transport Act will more easily be accomplished with MacBrayne under one ownership. Coast Lines consider that the price to be paid is satisfactory and that this move is in the interests of their shareholders. Assurances have been received in respect of future terms of employment of MacBrayne's staff.
