Despite the great success achieved with the production of aero magnetos, the demand had dropped to a point where production had become uneconomic, and the company reluctantly decided to turn over this productive capacity to the manufacture of fuelinjection equipment, for which there was an ever-increasing sale.
Simms fuel-injection equipment is 100 per cent. British, and the company has had to develop its own technique . since it started manufacture in 1930. Governor reliability and the quality of the other components arose from the fact that the company had got right down to the fundamentals of the problem.
