Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GLASGOW'S decision to recruit 200 more single women as conductresses is not likely to meet with opposition from men employees of the municipal transport department. An official of the Transport and General Workers' Union stated last week that the Union was not opposed in principle to the employment of women, but felt that the corporation should have deferred its decision until an award had been given by the National Joint Industrial Council on claims that had been submitted.

The number of -women employees will be increased from 800 to 1,000. They will be subject to the same wage rates as men workers.
