Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COM M ERCIAL-VEHICLE production in May exceeded the April figure by about 2,000 units. In May, 14,301 commercial vehicles were manufactared, of which 14,249 were for civilian use. Of these, 4,375 were exported and 0,874 were for home service.

Production of civilian vehicles by classes was as follows:—Under 15 cwt., 5,792; 15 cwt. to 6 tons, 7,155; 6 tons and over, 361; motorbuses and trolleybuses, 941.

In the first five months of the year commercial-vehicle production totalled 56,911 units, all except 271 being for civilian use. The export markets absorbed 17,098 vehicles and the home market 39,542. The first Ave months' production of vehicles under 15 cwt. totalled 21,500 units; 15 cwt. to 6 tons, 29,646; 6 tons and over, 1,335; and motorbuses and trolleybuses, 4,159.

These figures, which have been issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, do not include batteryelectrics, of which 605 were produced in the first quarter.
