• The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has produced a claimants guide for its VAT recovery service. The glossy A4 booklet gives advice on how to claim back VAT charges imposed by foreign countries when operating international haulage.

Security list
• The Association of British Insurers has issued its latest list of vehicle security devices which comply with the criteria for the Insurance Industry Vehicle Security Scheme. The list includes 180 systems approved by the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre (MIRRC) in Berkshire.
