This awe-inspiring information comes from a survey on European car rental by Budget, which reveals that 11% of French will rent a van, but only 9% would hire a car. The typical renter will be male, aged 25-34. In the UK the typical renter is a similar chap, but he prefers a car (18%) to a van (14%). The crunch is that in both countries car rental is a repeat purchase, van rental likely to be one-off.
