• Truck and bus manufacturer Scania refuses to confirm or deny industry reports that it is interested in buying the former Caterpillar plant in Glasgow.
Scania is still considering opening a third European truck factory to meet is expansion plans and the UK, France and Spain are shortlisted as potential sites.
New Scania president, Leif Ostling says: "There are pros and cons for each country; it is important that the production is located close to the market. We have around 19% market share in the UK, which is still our biggest market."
