The first short wheelbase van models are already rolling off Ford's Southampton Van plant production line, with assembly starting next month on the high roof short wheelbase version — available for the first dine on the Transit. They go on sale here 11CXI month.
The small van models have a completely mew front suspension system and rack and pinion steering.
The rest of the range, including long wheelbase vans
and chassis cabs and minibus models will be introduced throughout the year.
Over 000 million has been invested in the plant at Southampton, which uses over 100 robots to build each van.
