THE Minister of Transport has dismissed the appeal by Norfolk Motor Services Ltd. against the decision of the Eastern Traffic Commissioners in refusing to grant a licence to operate an express carriage service between Lowestoft and Southend-on-Sea.
It was admitted in evidence that a service from Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth was not an economic proposition. The Minister, considering evidence of need from Norwich, noted four supporting letters but did not feel the number of people involved was enough to weigh heavily.
