to have been made this week when the Austin Motor Co., Ltd., chartered a train, made up of 13 International Ferry Service vans, to take 18 cars and commercial vehicles from Longbridge to the Brussels Motor Show. The "Austin Special," carrying stand fittings, turntable equipment and a fire-engine (which is one of the exhibits), is decorated with posters and will travel via the Harwich-Zeebrugge ferry.
Its journey through Belgium will illustrate how British enterprise is beine used to boost exports throughout the world. This is the first time a special train has been used to carry a complete exhibit of vehicles to a foreign show and it is intended. to repeat the method at the Amsterdam and Geneva Shows.
