HARROGATE STATION PLAN.

'THE purchase of important premisei I near the centre of Harrogate by the West Yorkshire Road Car Co., Ltd., may foreshadow the erection of a bus station for that town, which has long needed relief for the street stands. The building purchased was at one time the residence of the late Lord Faber, and has grounds that would offer the necessary accommodation. It is stated that a plan for converting the property is under consideration by the West Yorkshire concern.

OBJECTIONS TO LIMITS ON RETURN TICKETS.

THE action of the Northern Traffic Commissioners in taking steps to prevent the use of return tickets for two journeys in the same direction has created public resentment in the area. The Durham Miners. Association has been asked to place the matter before the Minister of Transport, for the Commissioners' action is said to be causing considerable hardship to miners and others. The support of local authorities and Members of Parliament is being obtained in connection with the protest.
