Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MILICH labour is often expended unIVInecessarily in dismantling and assembling back axles, when in position on a vehicle, because of the impossibility of gaining Access to them with a crane from above, or because of the unsuitability of the ordinary jack for supporting their components from 'below. With the object of simplifying such operations, the Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd., 2 and 3, Norfolk Street, Strand, Loti don, W.C.2, has introduced the appliance shown above which it, describes as the Eco Differential Trolley.

This device incorporates a powerful hydraulic jack operating a pair of arms, provided with a suitable carrier for the detachable centre portion of a back axle, in which the differential and final-drive gearing are housed. It is mounted on six rollers, and can lift from only a few inches above the ground to a level 23 ins. higher. Thus the trolley can be run under an axle and the differential lowered and withdrawn, or, reversing the process, the assembly can be wheeled on the trolley under the vehicle and then raised into position. In either case, the operation can be performed with ease by one man. To facilitate manceuvring of the trolley, the wheels are set in a manner that allows the device to be pivoted upon the centre pair.
