• TNT Garment Express has won a six-figure, three-year contract with high street fashion retailer Home's to distribute more than 2.5 million items of clothing each year. It is the third-largest contract to date for the TNT division, which was set up in 1985 and already distributes for BHS and House of Fraser.
The dedicated service will run from a new depot in Leicester and covers high street delivery, warehousing and collection from manufacturers. The division lost its contract with fashion outlet Next in December, 'when the retailer moved to in-house distribution. This move follows Tibbett and Britten's sudden loss of Home's distribution late last year. The Leicester operation will create 44 jobs and TNT says more major contracts with retailers are in the pipeline.
