• Iveco Ford Truck's Special Vehicle Operations department at Langley has developed a "stretched" Cargo 1313 for the bakery industry and other markets which require high-volume low-payload trucks.
The stretched wheelbase now extends to 6,200mm with a 2,720mm rear overhang. Tooks Bakery in Ipswich has had a unit out on evaluation, and used it to carry 4,800 loaves stacked in 480 boxes. The 9m-long body has been fitted with a tail-lift as a result of the field tests.
Other features of the stretched 1313 are air suspension, a ZF-S5-35 transmission, a 12-volt electrical system and a flat-pack air cleaner.
