THE HORIZONTAL version of the Cummins 10-litre engine which is being developed by lkarus in Hungary, is expected to go into production in mid-1985.
Evaluation units are likely to become available towards the end of 1984. The horizontal L10 will be available with the same 180, 250 and 290bhp power ratings as the current vertical, psv LT 10s.
Hestair Dennis and Leyland are the most likely first customers.
