Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Disaster / Accident

AN URGENT review of signposting on the Al Berwick by-pass is being conducted following two fatal accidents on the recently opened road.

Three people have been killed since the road opened in early November, and Northumberland County Council's highways sub-committee is to inspect the road to see whether additional signposts are required, particularly for southbound traffic.

At present, there is only 100yd warning of traffic crossing the by-pass on to the Duns road, and lorry drivers and hauliers suspect this could be a cause of the trouble.

Both Road Haluage Association Northern manager Denis Le Conte and Transport and General Workers Union officer Geoff Eggleston are aware of the problem and have drawn comparisons with accidents caused by poor signposting on the Al Felton by-pass, further south, before that was improved.
