UNFAIR DISMISSAL awards are among those employment lawrelated payments which have been increased this month.

Redundancy payments, basic unfair dismissal awards and additional awards for an employer's failure to comply with an order for reinstatement or reengagement, and arrears of pay for insolvency will now use £145, instead of £140, as the basis of a week's pay.

The limit for unfair dismissal remains £7,500.

The statutory guarantee payment to workers on short time or temporary lay-off will be increased from £9.50 to E10 a day.
