JOHN BAILEY, ERF's sales and marketing director, resigned from the company last week.
Mr Bailey, who was a main board director of the Cheshirebased manufacturer, joined in 1982 and was previously the marketing director of Daf Trucks' Eindhoven export division, with responsibility for the company's non-European activities.
He played a leading part in the apparently now dead plan to assemble Hino lorries taking ERF into the volume market for lighter vehicles.
His successor is a one-time Cummins man, Bryan Hunt.
