Since then, it is illegal for any trade associations to issue rates schedules, or indeed for there to be any discussion between members of the Association on matters affecting rates. Many members, including ourselves, regret this change, because we valued the schedules issued.

The only matter which the RHA is still allowed to deal with, is costs. Its commercial committee makes a lot of effort to monitor costs, and to obtain frequent reports from members on the movement of costs. Its findings are reported in Roadway and elsewhere, and this is the best help that can be given.
