• The Vehicle Inspectorate has issued revised versions of its Inspection Manuals for HGVs and PSVs. The new roadworthiness standards have been enforced in annual tests and roadside checks since the beginning of September. The latest manuals are said to include vital information on the standards necessary for the safe operation of CVs, trailers and PSVs.
• GB Tachopak's Safety Inspection and Maintenance forms, incorporating the 1997 amendments, are also available.
These forms include all the necessary safety checks: they serve as the records that are required by law to show that correct maintenance procedures have been followed.
