NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE-based Containerised Waste has been taken over by Cleanaway, the specialist company owned jointly by GKN and Brambles Industries of Australia.
Tom Hadden, Containerised Waste's managing director, is to act as a consultant to Cleanaway, which has made Containerised Waste traffic manager Bill Hays its operations manager. Mr Hadden, who has been in the waste business since 1948, is devoting more time to other business activities.
