SCANIA is to offer a sleeper cab as an option on its P82 8x4 cha; unveiled at the Motor Show.
Available on both wheelbase options, the sleeper is 540r (21.2in) deeper than the standard cab and about 300kg (5.9c heavier.
It is the normal cab option available on the tractive units but v modified air trunking and one different rear cab mounting bracke clear the second axle steering linkage.
Scania says that the option (which costs £840) is aimed at operator carrying bulk over long distances.
The sleeper cab option will be in addition to the rest bunk cons sion to the normal day cab which costs £216 including the curtain!
