THE LATEST ADDITION to the diesel anti-waxing market is this fuel heater from Desmo of Cradley Heath, Warley, West Midlands.
Called the Termodiesel, it comprises a thermostatically controlled heater element mounted in a bracelet clamp which wraps around the filter body.
It heats up automatically when the ambient temperature drops below 3°C (37°F) and cuts out when the temperature rises above 25°C (77°F).
Desmo claims that the system is simple to wire up and will fit the standard filter size such as the CAV 296 or the larger 796 unit. It is designed to operate on 12 or 24v at 35 watts.
