THE ANNOUNCEMENT of Bombardier Ireland's first bus export order is not expected now until after Christmas, and could be as late as February.
Fifty single-deckers are understood to be subject of detailed negotiations between Shannon-based Bombardier and a United States customer. The prospect of the order has kept the factory on full-time working and has guaranteed the immediate short-term future of its 360 employees.
