Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• According to an American road transport journal, Perkins is to announce in the near future a 605 cu in. V8 engine with an output of 210 bhp. Both bore and stroke are increased as compared with the Perkins V8.510.

Reference to this new engine is made in an article dealing with a "new Perkins NA-I20 diesel" which has been specially designed for North American use. The NA-120 engine is the same externally. as the Perkins 6.354 and has the same displacement and horsepower rating but is "designed for triple the life expectancy". Features include a new cylinder block and head, new oil pump with oil cooler, redesigned cooling system, nitrided crankshaft, redesigned valve gear and a mechanical governor for the distributor fuel pump replaces the hydraulic type.
