AAn hgv driving licence is required in
addition to a normal Group 1 driving licence for driving a dump truck on a road even though it is taxed at the private vehicle rate. The hgv licence will not, however, be required until your existing ordinary Group 1 licence expires.
For the vehicle you have described a Class 2 hgv driving licence is necessary.
