THE Hampshire firm of Charles Pitt (Barton Stacey) Ltd. has started tc produce semi-trailers using fabricated main beams. Each beam is 16 in. deep and in. thick and has 5 in flanges, and Pitt engineers said this week that they will be used for nearly all the types ot heavier trailer that the company makes.
The change to fabricated main members is expected to assist in making variations to specifications.
