Shiplee, a director of United Transport Container Holdings in Ipswich, will look at firms involved in tanker haulage, contract distribution and container traffic. United Transport already has UK tanker and contract distribution arms UT!' and UTCD.
UT is also on the verge of announcing three acquisitions in the US. "Already 75% of our profits come from the Continent but we need to have a larger European presence," it says.
