CUSTOMS AND EXCISE GOES LOCAL • HM Customs and Excise has set up a national network of 120 public enquiry offices to help traders and the public with questions on all Customs and Excise matters, including VAT.
The enquiry offices, which will open Monday-Friday from 10:30hrs to 12:30hrs and 13:30hrs to 16:00hrs will be staffed by officers with experience in various aspects of the department's work.
Telephone numbers will be listed under "Enquiry office" and "Customs and Excise" in local telephone directories.
