MIND OUT FOR THAT MAGNETIC TAPE • All computers need data storage and the most common form is magnetic — disk packs, magnetic tape, flexi-disk or cartridge. Now, the British Standards Institution has revised its BS4783 Recommendations for storage, transportation and maintenance of magnetic media for use in data processing and information storage, which sets out guidelines for users of all types of computer.
