for the movement of unlicensed vehicles and not, in general, for the carriage of goods, the TRTA has told the MoT.
The Association feels that two types of trade licence are confusing and unnecessary. It would welcome the amalgamation of general and limited licences provided that the one licence then adopted allowed for the legitimate use of breakdown vehicles and the movement of unlicensed vehicles.
The licence should be subject to the provisos that the carriage of goods or passengers under it should be limited to specific purposes and in particular should not include carriage of goods in the normal course of business.
