• Essex-based lveco Ford dealer Dagenham Motors has announced pre-tax profits increased by 25% to £5.1m.
Sales of new trucks and vans rose by a modest 3% last year but used vehicle deals were up almost 60%—figures achieved on a significant increase in volumes during 1994.
Dagenham Motors, which also sells Ford cars, increased its turnover by 18% to £267m with improved profit margins.
The commercial vehicle parts division increased profits by 12%.
The service division recorded a 13% fall, reflecting decreased service times and the extended service intervals in modern vehicles.
