Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

with a new XIY-1 variant with a revised tread pattern featuring a less chunky block design on the edges.

SCANIA has developed a lowemission version of its ninelitre engine for environmentally sensitive operations, cutting NOx by 20% and particulates by 30%. There is a slight increase in fuel consumption, although Scania insists that in inner-city areas "lower emissions and good driveability are more important than ultimate fuel economy". The EDCequipped engine will be available in urban buses from October and in trucks next year.

BOSCH is developing an electronic stability program (ESP) within its EBS electronic braking system which will be offered on commercial vehicles from mid-2001. The EPS system uses active braking across, and between, axles to reduce vehicle instability when cornering and stopping. Bosch's EBS equipment will also be upgraded in 1999 when a new generation system-EBS 2.2-appears.

SCANIA and KRONE displayed an unusual 60-tonne concept truck at Hanover using a 6x2 prime mover, coupled to a two-axle convertor dolly with a front-steered axle and triaxle semi-trailer with a steering rear axle. The 28m long, eight-axle drawbar can haul three 7.82m boxes. CM has driven it and will publish impressions soon.
