Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Ray Smith Demountables used the Freightconnection exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham to launch a side-on transfer intermodal system for smaller vehicle bodies.

The Rail Roader system comprises a separate demountable body handling frame that can be carried by any vehicle equipped with a Ray Smith swap body system.

To collect a body for transfer to a rail wagon, the frame extends sideways, lifts it and, with the body legs retracted, draws it on to the back of the vehicle. Loading it on to a wagon is a reverse operation, but with the legs left stowed.

Swap bodies arriving at a siding can be unloaded and parked without the need for any special lifting gear.
