• The £32m fight for control of Henlys, owner of coach and bus maker Plaxton and motor retail outlets, ended last week when T Cowie's bid to take over failed.
At the end of the offer motor trade giant T Cowie had a 42,6% share acceptance — nearly 10% of which were owned by Cowie. Cowie says it is a "theoretical possibility" that it will bid for its rival again in 12 months.
Cowie says that while it is disappointed, the vote showed that a substantial number of Henlys' sharehoulders wanted it to be successful.
