Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A service to convert permanent all-wheel-drive Land Rovers and Range Rovers to Nissan diesel power is offered by ITS diesels of Moreton-inMarsh, Gloucestershire. For around £3,500 plus VAT, customers can have their 2.5 litre four-cylinder petrol Land Rovers fitted with the Nissan FD35 naturallyaspirated DI diesel engine which gives 77kW (103hp) at 3,500rpm, and 245Nm (180Ibft) at 2,000rpm.

For 24,500 plus VAT, ITS will fit the Nissan FD33T 3.3 litre 92kW (123hp), 287Nm (2121bft), turbocharged DI diesel engine to vehicles with manual gearboxes, in place of the 3.5 litre vee-eight Buickderived petrol engine. Vehicles with four-speed ZF automatic gearbox are fitted with the Nissan FD35T 2.5-litre 97kW (130hp), 305Nm (2251bft) turbocharged DI diesel engine, which could be available for manual vehicles in the future.

The conversion is intended to improve on the fuel consumption of existing Land Rover engine options without detracting from the vehicle's performance. The Nissan engines, fitted to small coaches in Japan, have been imported especially for the conversion.

ITS claims that the automatic Range Rover conversion will return around 10 lit/100km (28mpg) in ordinary driving conditions, and there are equivalent savings claimed for the other power units.

The finished vehicles have no special wearing parts, and all clutch components are standard Land Rover or Nissan. The vehicle comes with a twoyear 80,000km (50,000 mile) guarantee on the engine and the installation. An exhaust brake is offered as an option for £300 plus VAT.
