• The National Freight Consortium has rejected reports in the national press that is will launch a 2460 million share flotation next spring.
The reports were prompted by an NFC survey of its 35,000 shareholders (all employees and former employees) to discover their attitude to a flotation.
NFC says the results of the survey are now being considered, and the company is canvassing its customers over their attitude to a flotation.
Any flotation is unlikely to take place next spring, says the company, since the goahead would have to be forthcoming at the shareholders' annual general meeting in late February.
