McCAIRNS (PMPA), the Irish assembler of Mitsubishi commercials, made a loss of IRE1.04m (E806,000) last year, on a turnover of IR£5.6m. In the previous 15 months, the company lost 111E362,115 on sales of IRE10.3rn.
The Mitsubishi work helped prevent even worse figures, as the company lost a Vauxhall-Bedford franchise. It reports a subsequent reduction in losses this year, following a major rationalisation programme.
