Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW range of fire appliances known

as the Marquis Series Seven models, based on the latest AEC Mercury chassis, has been announced by Merryweather and Sons Ltd., Greenwich High Road. London, SE10. They include dualpurpose appliances, composite machines and water tenders on the 12 ft. 1 in.wheelbase chassis (employing the proven MA series of centrifugal fire pumps) and the 100 ft. turntable ladder outfit on the 15 ft.-wheelbase chassis.

Principal differences from earlier Merryweather appliances are that twinline air-pressure braking, power-assisted steering and an AC generator are all sta.,dard equipment. Although body design will vary according to individual requirements, an attempt is being made

r

to offer a rationalized range of mechanically similar machines, and all will (where appropriate) have a full four-door cab using the big panoramic windscreen from the Leyland group Ergomatic design.
