VfORE detailed conditions for the estab
lishment of inland examination centres for containerized (raffle have been announced by HM Customs and Excise, and are obtainable from them at King's Beam House, Mark Lane, London EC3. The main considerations were published in The Commercial Motor of August 20 (page 23).
Among the additional points are that alihough such clearance centres should be established by a consortium or other approved body, Customs may consider applications from individual hauliers who propose to make the facilities available to all classes of traffic. HM Customs would also require advance, detakd p!ans for the centres. showing location of facilities.
