WITH the numerous types of fuel W that are now in demand, it is necessary for every garage to have various brands available. Provision of this service, with economy of space, is the object of the Theo Multiple pump, product of Theo and Co., Ltd., 32, Tarleton Street, Liverpool, I. This pump will serve six grades from a single delivery standard and can deal, for example, with benzole, oil fuel, alcohol spirit, etc., as well as ordinary petrol; moreover, there is no possibility of mixing. The latest model is the Theo E6 which provides six separate sales registers—one for each grade in use—in addition tcr a sales totalizer which gives a master check. A larger size of container has been incorporated so that any quantity from half a gallon to six gallons can be delivered at one operation. The customer can see the required quantity of spirit filling up the measured container, in addition to being able to check the amount shown on the dial.
Although able to handle a variety of fuels, the Theo E6 operates at a speed which compares favourably with other electric meter pumps of the newest type.
With the object of showing clearly exactly what brand of fuel is being delivered, a new type of indicator is now used. This is operated automatically from the special multiple valve.
The electrical running costs of the pump are stated to be approximately half those of ordinary electrically operated pumps, whilst in the event of failure of the electric supply, the pump can easily be turned over to' hand operation. This is accomplished merely by opening a two-way cock with a key.
