ROBINSONS of Worcester is in the pink after landing a three-year contract with Cemex — a deal so big, it has increased its fleet from 21 to 33 trucks.
It has started working on the contract, transporting clay from a Cemex quarry in Southam, Warwickshire, to a cement production plant in Rugby — work originally done in-house.
Robinsons also commissioned Midlands dealership Keltruck to supply 11 Scania G440 tractor units and a 32-tonne Scania P360 specifically for the contract in its traditional pink livery.
MD Edward Robinson said: "It's a massive step forward for us. We're a little company that has just taken a step up the ladder and we are looking forward to proving we're capable of meeting the challenge ahead."
